Dierks just did a show at the Murat Theater in Indianapolis, IN on March 1, 2008. And what a show! Dierks is on tour with 2 other great artists, Bucky Covington and Luke Bryan, who opened the show for him. When Dierks came out on stage he was singing ” Trying To Stop Your Leaving”and he had the fans up on their feet. As soon as the first song was over he went right into “Can’t Live It Down”. He had the fans just where he wanted them, and they were loving it.
Dierks got personal with his fans sharing that something had happen in his childhood and he was now in counseling for it. He talked about how much his fans has changed his life.
As a personal touch to his concerts he asks that security not be on thefloor. He wants his fans to take all the photos they want and to feelcomfortable with him.
During the song “I Feel Like Laying You Down” he invited a lady on stage with him and changed the words, as he twirled her around to, “I Feel Like Twirling You Around”. Fans went wild! Many of Dierk’s fans had travel some distance to come and see the one and only. While talking to one of his “self-proclaimed” biggest fans, Kristin, she informed me that this was her 34th Dierks Bentley concert. Kristin also told me how Dierks is very friendly and always takes time for his fans. And pictures are always a must.
Through out the concert Dierks even sang a few of his bluegrass songs. A few more songs sung that night were, “Prodigal Son’s Prayer”… “Hope For Me Yet”… “Free And Easy”… “What Was I Thinkin”… “Fulsome City Prison”. With a none stop performance, I believe he sang every song on his new CD.
Dierks…Your show was AWESOME…and there is no doubt that yourfans LOVE YOU!
